2012 Aluel Malbec

Deep ruby-colored in a glass, this Malbec greets you with bounties of dried black cherries, red fruit, bittersweet cocoa, caramel, vanilla, and allspice, culminating in savory smoked meats, coffee, and leather.  The earthiness on the palate is marked with ripe, mouthwatering blackcurrants and boysenberries, to make for a rich and smooth finish.

The fruit for our 2012 Malbec is sourced from the widely-respected Conner Lee and Stillwater Creek vineyards in Columbia Valley.  The 2012 vintage was an exceptional year for Malbec in Washington state, and this wine showcases what great vineyards and winemakers can do together.
