What started as a winter pop-up has become a permanent part of Aluel Cellars — and one of Ballard’s most unique places to discover wine.

Après by Aluel is a Ballard wine bar, tasting room and bottle shop built around exploration. Instead of pouring the same list all year, we travel through different wine regions, countries and styles, bringing in new bottles, grapes and stories to discover.

This October, we’re doing things a little differently.

We’re celebrating Aluel Cellars Release Month while reopening a few favorite bottles from past Après themes — all inside a tasting room that has shifted into its cozy fall mood while keeping that signature après-ski lodge feel as we wait for the real snow to arrive. 🍂🍷🏔️

Throughout October, we’re pouring the newest wines from Aluel Cellars alongside a rotating selection of standout bottles from previous Après themes.

The lineup changes each week, so there’s always another reason to stop in.

Come one week and discover something completely new. Come back the next and you may find an old favorite has returned.

👑 2022 Coat of Arms — our five-grape red blend and a Double Gold winner

October is one of our favorite times to be in the tasting room.

The space has taken on a warmer, more autumnal feel — cozy, relaxed and still unmistakably inspired by the feeling of settling into an alpine lodge after a day outside.

Think fall in Seattle meets après-ski, just before winter truly arrives.
